A casino is an establishment for gambling. It offers a variety of games of chance and often is combined with hotels, resorts, restaurants, retail shops or cruise ships. In games that have a skill element, the house advantage can be eliminated by players who understand and use optimal strategy. These players are known as “advantage players”. The casino industry relies on the existence of these advantage players to offset the house edge and operate at a break-even or even profit margin.
