What is a Slot? The word slot is from the late 14c. and originally referred to a hollow in the breastbone or base of the throat. It is derived from Old French esclot, and the Old Norse slod is also a synonym. The modern meaning of Slot dates from 1888, but the word’s meaning as a machine is much older. Slot has become an etymology of “to slip, slide, or receive something.”

When a user maps a slot, they specify the specific words or phrases they want mapped into that slot. Select the desired word/phrase and then click the slot name. A colored underline indicates the value of that word/phrase. You can also edit the slot name from the Slots tab. If you don’t want the mapped word/phrase, simply remove it. If you’re not sure what slot you want, try mapping it by hand!
